last weekend in decided to work on the Karmann Ghia again.

I took a lot of these pictures just to remember how it was.

I’m having trouble getting fuel to the engine from the gas tank so I took the gas tank out.

I found out there’s a lot of gunk in the gas tank from sitting around for about 10 years.

I get the gas tank pretty clean but now I have to line before I put it back in.

hopefully the next time I work on it I will finally get it running.

Karmann Ghia

I have been working on trying to get Missie’s mom’s Karmann Ghia running. She bought the car a pretty long time ago, I’ll say about eight years, but I don’t think it has been driven in about seven because the last registration sticker is from 2001.
I finally got the engine compartment hood open today, which has been a bit of a problem for me up to this point. The hood release was not functioning, but it turned out that all I needed to do was pull really hard and it opened.
So now the problem I am having is actually getting the key to turn in the ignition. I have tried moving the steering wheel back and forth and even put WD-40 into the ignition.
