Friend Talk

We have been traveling with a couple named Alpine and Princess Brat, who are also from GA. They summitted Katahdin the same day as we did and will be moving to CO when they are finished like we are, how freakin’ coincidental!
On the we here I saw the Dos Amigos, a traveling pair from Tennessee, aka Fiesta and Ciesta on the trolley. They are much faster than us but were relaxing a bit and spending some time with some friends and slack packing some of the harder terrain that put a hurting on us.
We are also travelling slightly behind Brit, Wharriagi, and Smokey, who we saw in our last town and hung out there.
Murphy, Emily, and Whiskers are behind us a bit but are trooping along. Murph is an inspiration as he has two prosthetic legs.
Shasta and Billygoat were behind us and we are hoping they will step it up and catch back up.
We are extremely grateful for the maps that Redbeard loaned us, as they are saving us bucks and agony.
I hope that some peeps who are just checking in on us will register on the site, so we can get your comments.Andover Motel

Hey guys! Glad to hear things are going okay. Sounds like you are having a good time!? Jeff and I are getting excited about our trip also. Thinking about you often and can’t wait to see you, whenever. Love, Aunt Linda

The corn is producing very well. And it seems you have the only viable blackberry patch in north Georgia. Used some of the corn harvest to “prime the pump” for a farmers market in Cave Spring this month. Have blues guitars blues players and blackberrys at $10 per 11/2quart. Have had a great Theatre In the Park drama camp. Getting ideas about some serious grants.
So you’re still into the white stuff! I do not have a good relationship with snow & ice. But you should be hitting all this tropical rains by now. We’ve literally got a second spring…thunderstorms in afternoon/evening, everything lush and green. Something’s happening here.
    –love to you both, Steve
